Need to lighten the emotional load like these 2? Be silly! Do something truly awkward. Make yourself laugh. Make someone else laugh. Scientific evidence proves that being silly is clinically good for our mind and our body. ... Laughter enhances your intake of oxygen-rich air, stimulates your heart, lungs, and muscles; and it increases the endorphins released by your brain. Plus, it activates then deactivates your stress response / hormones, resulting in improved relaxation! Longer term effects of silliness and laughter include immune support, pain relief, long term improvement of mood and a greater life satisfaction. So just go ahead- dance on the sidewalk, put your (CLEAN) underwear on your head, snap some silly selfies and then post them below! I challenge you to take a 5-minute silly break! You may thank me later.
Broccoli: This green gem has twice as much vitamin C as an orange, and is a great source of calcium! Who knew? Also, the disease-fighting power of broccoli, along with being inexpensive and readily available, makes it a top pick for an anti-cancer diet! The foods we choose have a huge impact on our health. Food can drive disease but it also has the power to heal. By learning to eat intentionally, you will not only ward off disease and illness, but you will find yourself looking and feeling better right away. More great tips are available on my website blogs at https://hiddenspringsrn.com/blog/
Coaching is about helping clients find out what they have always wanted (to do, to be, to have...) and take accountability for their actions. The shift this client talks about is the transformative motion from a place of stuck to a place of fluidity. And this shift is what it's all about!
Sometimes recognizing the need for a personal reset is the best medicine! This is our camping and beachy getaway. We had to cancel our spring Colorado trip while we anxiously await pathology results for one of the family. I won’t lie, times are a bit challenging right now- even on the best of days. I just walked with Addison along the boardwalk and explained the benefit of taking time for a personal reset. I believe strongly in staying in touch with your mind and mental well-being. And when my mind tells me it’s at capacity- I take to the beach! What is your mind trying to tell you today?
