Did you know Bainbridge has a beautiful, unique hidden gem 1/2 mile south in Locust Grove, called the Haldeman Mansion? You can now book this historic site for your next event, family reunion or wedding. HMPS is in the process of actively restoring the three main rooms of the mansion. Outside grounds available. This Saturday I will be conducting a geology program on the ground of the Samuel S. Haldeman mansion at 9 am. Adults are $5 and school children ages 6 -17 are $3. The mansion is located at 230 Locust Grove Road, Bainbridge, PA.

Mira’s Story Our awareness of Mira’s story began with a phone call three years ago from Maggie McKaig (http://maggiemckaig.com) who lives in Northern California. What a View! In 2018 the HMPS received a Riverlands Grant from the Lancaster County Conservancy to enhance the view of the Susquehanna River from the Mansion by removing invasive vegetation (brush & trees). That task has been completed. The second component of the project, the creation of a small patio to the immediate southwest of the Summer Kitchen will start this summer. Upon its completion visitors will be able to sit ponder the beauty and tranquility of the mansion’s location. We look forward to showing this off once it's safe to open!
