Gracie’s aka Grace ‘G’ litter of pups are now 17 days old and so far so good. Growing like weeds. Eyes have been open for a few days and they are moving and occasionally sitting. They will not be available for another six weeks. Gracie is a Black and Tan coonhound mix and daddy was possible and Australian Shepherd mix

Sneak peak at the upcoming "D" litter! Momma is a hound, guessing daddy is a Catahoula given the looks of the pups. They are only 2 weeks now, wont be posted for adoption till they are atleast 8 weeks old. 6 boys and 1 girl. More info will be posted in a few weeks.

We estimate that they will weigh between 15-25 pounds when fully grown. They are very playful. They especially like squeaky toys. There are three boys (Linus, Lucky, and Leo) and three girls (Lady, Lulu, and Lilly). Puppies will be available for adoption Sunday, January 10. Meet Allura, the momma dog of the upcoming E litter! Pre-approved applications are now being accepted for this sweet Texan who is approximately 18lbs! She is estimted to be 2 years old and appears to be a chi/terrier mix. This sweet momma is house and leash trained, absolutely loves snuggling and does not require much energy. She is shy at first but barely makes a sound, an occasional bark if there is a knock at the door. She is excellent with children and other dogs, big or small, she does like to chase the cat, but not in an aggressive way. She loves cookies and she’ll steal the food off your plate if you give her the chance lol. She’s such a great girl and gives lots of love! No applications for this litter will be accepted until after their 8 week health exam. We adopted our sweet Buster (originally Walter) from the W litter about 6 months ago and we have been wondering his breed since then. We finally used the Dog Sc...aner app to determine his breed. He is a mix of a Jack Russel Terrierand a Treeing Walker Coon Hound. We are looking for his siblings to see if anyone else did a breed test! See more

No longer accepting applications... Flower would like to wish everyone a happy New Year! Flower is the momma dog of the upcoming C litter! Applications are now being accepted for this sweet Texan who is approximately 30lbs! Flower appears to be a petite hound mix. She is approximately 2 years old and gets the gold star for being house trained! Favorite activities include fetch, snuggles, and having people tell her how pretty she is. She does show interest in my cats (not in ...an aggressive way) and usually only barks when she is alerted by something. She really has been a gem to take care of..... Flowers posse of 8 kids (1 girl and 7 boys) will be posted next Sunday after their vet visit should all continue to go well and they are vet cleared. She looks like a mini Scooby Doo though only coming knee high. She is the sweetest girl and an amazing Momma to all nine babies! She is potty trained and loves to snuggle and be loved on.

It was the night before Christmas, and the rescue pups were snuggled in bed. Except for this sweet girl, who tried to eat Santa’s cookies instead!... Foster Mom and Dad shook their heads, but they couldn’t be mad. So they cleaned up the crumbs, and had a good laugh instead! It was not that long ago, she was born outside. But a stranger took her to safety, with momma and siblings by her side. Thanks to kindness and all the support, you helped make wishes come true. We found loving homes for rescued puppies, and their sweet mommas too! Thank you all for your generous donations and support throughout this year! An active home would be best for me, as I get older I will need more and more exercise and playtime. I will be 50-65lbs full grown. I am working on potty training now. I sleep really good in my crate at night all by myself. I am really hoping my new home will let me sleep on a dog bed in their room at night so I can stay close to them. Squeaky toys and crinkle toys are my favorite. I am learning to play tug of war with my friends. I already have all 3 of my Dapp shots and microchip. As the winter weather begins, I am grateful for the small part I play in providing a warm home for Homeward Bound Mommas and pups. I appreciate all the time and effort our director invests getting our moms and pups off the street and into our homes. Thank you Sue! The pups in this post are Sofia’s hounds. No longer accepting applications!! Now accepting applications for the L litter of Weimaraner/Maremma Sheepdog mixes. These kids are huge!!!! DOB is 10/14/20 and they are located in Duncannon, PA. These pups will grow to be 100+ lbs. Perfect homes will have lots of space, a large fenced in yard, and people who are home alot. Kids need to be over age 6. Formal training is a must. The Maremma Sheepdog is the Italian cousin to the Great Pyrenees. They are livestock guard do...gs not herding dogs like the Old English Sheepdog. These pups will want a yard to survey at their leisure and they will bark at things they feel are questionable. This litter is energetic, friendly, loving and happy. They are not delicate and prefer life a little messy. They love to follow their people around and want to be "helpers". They love toys, rough housing, stealing newspaper and running through the play yard, and meeting people. They are rambuctious and play hard but sleep hard too. Life spent with an X large dog is a truly unique experience and not for everyone. You do need a sense of humor..... Our sweet little pregnant pug arrived early this morning. She promptly presented us with two little babies. Momma is a tiny pug. One of the babies has quite the underbite and pug face. Thank you to everyone who donated to bring her here.

Last evening and this afternoon were very exciting days for adoptions! Sammy Jean and all of her 11 puppies met their new families!! I am so happy for all and know they will all have a very good life and loving home

This momma dog heard we raised the funds for her friends to join us and she wants to join our rescue also!! Is it possible to raise another $2200 so we can save her? She is heartworm positive which we will treat after she has raised her pups (Heartworm treatment alone is over $1000!!). We have a foster home able to take them IF we can raise the money. Can we do it? Every dollar counts!

These 2 momma dogs would love to join us but we must raise $2500 to commit to them. They were found living outside and both with need additional vetting, and the pug may need a c-section when the time comes (let's hope she doesn't!) We are the lowest we have ever been with funds, and cannot continue to help these momma dogs without the support of the community. We will need to do alot of fundraising in the upcoming weeks..
