Thank you to all who came out and helped & participated in our annual Easter Egg Hunt yesterday! The Easter Bunny again made his rounds through Honesdale and it was such a blast for all who were involved. Through the community support of our various events throughout the year we are able to make events like these happen. Here’s to hoping 2021 is the best year yet and last year is finally behind us!

The Christmas Shopping Tour is an annual tradition for the Honesdale Area Jaycees. Due to the current pandemic, we were unable to go through with the project as normally planned. We put their heads together and came up with an alternative idea. Nursing homes have been following strict guidelines due to the pandemic and seniors haven’t been allowed visitors for most of the year. So we decided to adopt local seniors and purchase gifts for them to brighten their holiday season. We adopted seniors and purchased gifts for the following local nursing homes: Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Bethany Village, Wayne Woodlands Manor, and Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center.

Santa and his elves are good friends of the Honesdale Area Jaycees! For years, Santa has brought one of his elves from the North Pole and made an early stop in Honesdale to check in and stop by some of our members homes. Truly, Santa exemplifies our Jaycee creed! Selfless service is all he does year round! All the girls and boys he visited were confirmed to be on the Nice list and the kids had the opportunity to personally give Santa their Christmas lists. After the night of cookies, Santa had to head back to the North Pole to nap and get ready for his big journey next week! Here are some pictures from his visit
