Thank you to all the participants for coming out for Kaitlyn McGarvey’s first In-Hand Workshop. The workshop was an enlightening experience and a joy to watch the horses and participants grow together. It was formatted into two separate workshops, the participants also had the opportunity to have a guided practice class in between both sessions and now have the opportunity to arrive early for their lessons an utilize the techniques learned. If you are interested in participating in future workshops, please post below or reach out to Honey Brook Stables.

Happy Monday! There is still time to sign-up for the first Rider Fitness class that will be held tomorrow at 6pm. Spots are limited so that we have plenty of room to spread out in the studio and keep a safe distance during these times. All mats and materials will be disinfected before and after use.

New at Honey Brook Stables! Starting Tuesday, November 24th we will be holding group fitness classes at the farm, instructed by certified personal trainer Allie Peck. Some of you may know Allie, as she joined the HBS staff at the end of August. The classes will be a full-body workout designed to improve balance and coordination, and increase flexibility and strength. We want our horses to be strong, supple and balanced, so it is only fair that we work toward creating these ...qualities in ourselves too! Regardless of your level of riding, increasing your level of fitness will help you in both your daily life, as well as in the saddle, to improve your communication with your horse, and in turn, their performance and happiness. This will be a 60 minute class broken into a 15 minute warm-up, 35 minute workout, followed by a 10 minute cool-down. The 35 minute workout section will be made up of 2-3 different circuits, that will get cycled through 2-3 times, with allotted rest periods within and between each circuit. The exercises used in this class will all be body weight exercises. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle,a hand towel (if desired), and to dress in whatever they find most comfortable for exercise, sneakers being highly recommended. Mats will be provided. $20 per person To sign-up, you can follow the link below: https://www.schedulicity.com/scheduling/HBSEGP/classes
