Position Overview We are currently looking for an experienced Lowbed Driver out of our Liverpool, NY facility. This position will start in May 2021. Main Responsibilities Haul equipment (mostly over width) and materials to various job sites throughout New York State Perform daily pre and post trip inspections of assigned vehicle: This requires climbing up, on and over unit to verify everything is in proper working order Secondary Responsibilities Haul aggregate and hot liquid asphalt throughout New York State Qualifications Experience hauling over width equipment and/or oversize loads preferred Must have a valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Airbrakes Endorsement; HazMat Endorsement preferred Must have a good driving record Minimum 1-2 years of experience preferred Must adhere to all DOT and Barrett Paving Materials safety regulations Must be able to lift 50 pounds Colas Inc.and its subsidiaries (including Barrett Paving Materials) are an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Our piling crew is working hard foot by foot, and inch by inch on the substructure phase of the soon to be New Exit 163 bridge on Interstate 80 in PA. The Pile Driving crew is placing approximately 9,000 Linear Feet of H piling. The new interchange is scheduled for completion in October of 2022.

Depuis 1 an, il est aux manettes d’une pelle équipée d’un GPS 3D Les plans intégrés dans le logiciel, par le bureau d’études, permettent à Romain de visualiser les cotes du projet sur la tablette située dans la cabine et de connaître sa position exacte. Il a en temps réel l’altimétrie et peut placer le godet avec une fiabilité de + ou - 5 cm. Il travaille actuellement sur le chantier pharaonique de Nancy Thermal et grâce à sa pelle autonome , le système de guidage lui assure une grande précision dans les travaux de terrassement et d’assainissement, en toute sécurité. Sans GPS, 3 ou 4 personnes seraient nécessaires pour assurer les réglages et la pose de piquets. Nous gagnons en précision et en sécurité .

The last of the Structural Steel girders were set over the Norfolk Southern Railway tracks for our Cabarrus County, North Carolina bridge project. We utilized 3... internal cranes, 2 bridge crews, and a grading crew to accomplish this large project milestone. We had an extremely tight time frame to perform this work where our crews were able to set 4 girders and associated diaphragms in under 3 hours. This was a difficult task to say the least. All is quiet at Howard J. Lamade Stadium here in South Williamsport, PA, except for the back-up alarms and rumble of HRI equipment. Next year teams and fans will have nice new roads to get into watch the 2021 Little League World Series. We can’t wait until the World Series comes back to town!

Today, the Pennsylvania highway and road construction industry is standing down to prevent Serious Injuries and Fatalities (SIF). As our industry pushes hard to make up for lost time due to COVID-19 delays before winter hits, contractors, penndot, pa turnpike, engineering firms, trade associations, etc... are pausing to discuss serious safety issues that may injure or fatally harm workers, with a focus on Line of Fire.
