As members age, it often becomes difficult for them to attend lodge due to health problems, lack of transportation, etc. Our Masonic Villages' attempt to remove... barriers like these is to have designated spaces for lodge meetings right on campus. This also fosters intergenerational connections, as younger brethren living in the towns nearby attend lodge here as well. Pictured below are (L-R) the lodge rooms at Masonic Village at Elizabethtown and Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill (home to Abraham C. Treichler Lodge No. 682, F&AM and Palestine Roxborough Lodge #135, respectively) See more
Brethren, The following message is from our Right Worshipful Grand Master. Due to the unfortunate rapid and severe spike of the Coronavirus in Pennsylvania, effective immediately and until further notice, I am directing any and all lodge activities be cancelled, including, but not limited to; extra, special and/or stated lodge meetings; social functions; schools of instruction, etc., as well as youth groups and community meetings/events that may be scheduled in your lodge bu...ilding. Lodge officers may continue to pay lodge bills in the ordinary course without lodge approval. This will be in effect through January 31, 2021. Again, this cancellation is effective immediately, so tonight‘s meeting has been canceled. Rest assured that our Officers, Charity Committee, and Trustees will continue to operate our Lodge to the best of our abilities, and with the best interests of Freemasonry and Infinity Lodge in our hearts and minds. Hopefully we will be able to return to regular Lodge activities for our Stated Meeting on February 10. If so, at that time we will hold our election and installation of officers as well as the annual meeting of the Penn Masonic Hall Association. I pray that you and your families stay safe and healthy, and may you have a blessed holiday season and a joyous new year. Adam W. Gusky PM Worshipful Master
Since acquiring new pedestals for the lodge room, we’ve moved our older ones into the lobby to display some of our Masonic memorabilia. Our WM Pedestal now displays items from Homewood Lodge No. 635, including SW & JW Columns, an engraved gavel, a WM’s top hat, and a portrait of RWPGM Albert T. Eyler. Bro. Eyler was RWGM in 1952-53 and WM of Homewood Lodge in 1921.
This Masonic memorabilia and display case were donated by Chuck and JoAnn Mayer, originally of Wilkinsburg, PA. JoAnn’s father and grandfather were members of Duquesne Lodge No. 546, and her father was one of our Past Masters. Make sure you check it out the next time you’re at the PHMC.
