Last kindling hatchet of the year. Forged leaf spring with black walnut scales. I gave it a more traditional hatchet/axe handle.
End of the year (2020) knife & sheath. Forged leaf spring, recycled brass and purpleheart scales.
Latest completed railing. Contractor and interior decorator challenged me to draw inspiration from the client’s (made by himself) Revolutionary War-era reproduction rifle. The result is a sculpted steel and brass railing. The handrail reflects a barrel. Balusters are comprised of hand-forged bayonets and ram rods. The posts are adorned with trigger guards. The railing ends with a freestanding post and a brace made to resemble a hammer lock. Definitely one of my more memorable projects, and I was thankful for the opportunity to make it.
New lopper - actually a kindling hatchet. Forged leaf spring with cherry scales and brass details. It’s resting on a 150# anvil to give you and idea of scale. Massive.
Got some LED wired copper from Harbor Freight and wrapped this candelabra. Guess I’ll save on a Christmas tree this year.
