This morning we laid to rest U.S. Army Veteran and retired Police Lieutenant, Ronald L. Marshman. THANK YOU to the East Brandywine, Kennett Township, Caln Township, Downingtown, Uwchlan Township, and West Pikeland Police Departments for the escort detail. It was a touching tribute and honorable procession commemorating his many years of service.

What a gorgeous evening to wrap up a holiday weekend! Hope your 4th of July was full of wonderful memories as we celebrated America's Independence Day.

This morning we raised the American Flag at both our Downingtown and Coatesville locations - commemorating our transition into the final phase of re-opening. We raised the flag with pride; symbolizing the fear, uncertainty and sacrifice we all endured and overcame as a community. But during its ascent, we were reminded of the significance flying half mast represented and the unity of respect and honor it showed for the many affected by Covid-19. As the flag reached its peak, we looked up in reverense; taking a moment to recognize and pay tribute to all the lives lost during this pandemic.

Today is one of our favorite days of the year, flower planting day. Give them a little water, some much needed sun and watch them blossom. We love when our flowers are in full bloom.

While planting our annual flowers here at the funeral home, we were greeted by Austin from Epicurean Garage who was delivering gift cards from local restuarants to "front line" workers as their way to give back. Thank you so much for recognizing that funeral homes and funeral directors are part of the front line. Thank you Epicurean Garage, Ron's Original Bar and Restaurant, Rocco's, Stolen Sun, Taco Maya, Marchwood Tavern and all the other local restaurants who supported.

Thank you Brent Formica, Sr. for another job well done on our carpets at the funeral home. You’ve been cleaning our carpets for many years now and you never disappoint.
