A student research project at York College of Pennsylvania was chosen to receive $60,819 in grant money as part of the Manufacturing PA Initiative, as announced by Gov. Tom Wolf. The initiative collectively has provided over $2 million in funding focused on innovation in the manufacturing industry. Our student research project is focused on using robots in a laboratory setting to increase efficiency and reproducibility, and reduce technician exposure to potentially harmful ...chemicals, said Associate Professor of Chemistry Greg Foy (imaged), who will lead the effort. York Legacy Manufacturing will establish a digital footprint to promote and strengthen the manufacturing ecosystem in and around York County through delivering original and interesting content on new digital media platforms establishing itself as a social influencer in manufacturing and related technology.
