April Continuing Education! The #groupme continuing education for April is one that is just as important as mental health awareness! Beginning April 12, 2021, we will be discussing Active Shooter Awareness and Provider Safety! This month is being brought to us by our good friends and exceptional paramedic leaders Robert Druga and Wesley Semple! These men, who are subject matter experts in this topic have a significant history in tactical medicine, SRT Team development and response, and responding and operating MCI incidents in recent years. This month will be fast paced and full of information about keeping ourselves safe and what to do during active shooter situations. For 2.5 total hours of continuing education, this session will discuss a number of crucial points about the aforementioned ranging from A to Z!

Thank you to our friends at Allegheny Health Network - Prehospital Care Services, Allegheny Health Network, and Highmark! Because of a significant grant, our providers will continue to be protected in the fight against COVID-19. This morning, we were able to secure a large supply of PPE, which includes masks, gowns, and face shields. Both Highmark and AHN have taken the initiative throughout the pandemic to ensure EMS providers remain safe and we cannot be grateful enough for the work they have done!

***** CANCELLED CHILD WAS LOCATED SAFELY CANCELLED ******* The Pennsylvania State Police has issued an Amber Child Abduction Alert for North Towanda Police Depa...rtment, North Towanda New York North Towanda Police Department is searching for Stephnie White, a white female, age 17, 4 feet 10 inches tall, 160 pounds, wearing a black sweatshirt with a deadpool logo, red and black pajama pants with a Harley Quinn logo on them, black and white hightop sneakers. She was last seen in the area of PA State Route 8., Harrisonville PA. She was reported abducted by Micheal Mesko, a white male, age 50, 6 feet 1 inches tall, 270 pounds, and an unknown clothing description. Mesko is discribed as having a surgical scar on the right side of his neck. Mesko is to be driving blue 2015 Nissan Rogue bearing New York registration HPS3840. Anyone with information about the abduction should immediately contact the police by calling 911. For more information go to www.amber.pa.gov
