Sometimes Keystone View Company workers were called upon to pose for promotional photos. Here we see Ruth Bender Daly giving an eye exam to Walter Myers, using Keystone equipment.
Since we are still in the Christmas season I am sharing this holiday greeting that Keystone View Company workers first gave 59 years ago.
This stereoview image was published by the H. C. White Company, but since Keystone bought the company's negatives in 1915 there's a good chance it was reprinted by Keystone. Wishing everyone a good Christmas, and a new year that will allow for more museum visits.
This photo, found in the Historical Society's Keystone View Company folder, was marked July 22, 1924. I'm guessing it was a minor crisis, for I've never read about a 1924 Keystone fire. Does anyone know the story behind this photograph?
The dapper young man who started the Keystone View Company was born December 8, 1864, and named Bennevillle Lloyd Singley. During his business life he sometimes used the name B. Lloyd Singley, but most of the time it was B. L. Singley. I offer a belated birthday remembrance to Mr. Singley.
