Over the last few weeks, the members of Squrt 9, Ladder 21, and Medic 10 have celebrated several significant milestones. First, a transfer party was held for former members and officers of the station that have either transferred or rotated to different stations. Next, FF Lloyd Booker (E9/C) celebrated reaching 20 years of service. And tonight, Fire Service EMT Angie Wilcher (M10/A) was honored for being promoted to Fire Service Paramedic. Congratulations to all!

6 Alarm Fire D Platoon/A Platoon Box 4463 - Fox St & Hunting Park Ave Stokley St & Hunting Park Ave... Around 2:30am this morning, Squrt 9 was special called to the scene of a 2 Alarm fire near the intersection of Stokley St & Hunting Park Ave. Battalion 8 initially reported a 1 story building 200x100 with fire in the roof area and placed All Hands in service. The fire spread to an adjoining building, and eventually went to 6 Alarms with around 60 apparatus and 250 firefighters on the scene. The fire was placed Under Control at 11:23am. Around 1:45am this morning, shortly after picking up from the fire at Box 435 - Penn & Chew, Ladder 21 was dispatched 2nd in, and Engine 9 was dispatched 4th in to the intersection of Broad St & Chelten Ave for the reported store fire. Engine 73 arrived and reported a 2 story storefront with fire showing, and placed 2&2 in service. Engine 73 extinguished the fire on the exterior as the ladder companies forced their way into the store to make entry. Crews found fire inside the store as well.
