PRASCEND - preferred treatment for Cushings Syndrome. Throwing a note out to horse owners that there is a mail in rebate of $30 when purchasing a 160 count box from a veterinarian. I will also throw out there that Keystone Equine's price has always been pretty much identical to the prices you find online. Don't always assume you are gonna do better online.

A few clients have had questions amid reports of a Pennsylvania horse with Equine Herpes virus. This is a post from the state vet office: "As was reported via the EDCC outbreak alerts last week, a 22 year old Trakhener gelding euthanized due to severe neurological impairment tested positive for EHV-1 on June 17 in southwestern PA. 39 other horses residing at the same boarding facility are under quarantine with biosecurity precautions and temperature monitoring. " As always, the best preventive care for your horse is vaccination and good biosecurity. Given the current reduction in horse travel and showing due to Covid-19, I would think clients horses should be at a very low risk for any contagious disease. Your part in social distancing for Covid-19 is no doubt benefiting the health of your horse.

THIS is a link to a dental survey that some horse owners may be interested in trying out. It may provide you some thought provoking information but also a chance to win coverage for dental work on your horse. Provided by Zoetis. I can not figure out how to make this less suspicious - honest it is a simple link to a horse dental survey. https://baderrutter.co1.qualtrics.com///SV_6Jy0gJggdDf8OBn

Reaching out to all those clients that have not yet set up for spring vaccinations. Keep in mind that the fly and mosquito season is starting and you should consider getting protection for Eastern/Western Encephalitis and West Nile Virus. They are environmental viruses that are transmitted by biting bugs so being at home and not showing does not keep you protected. Give me a ring and we can work to get your horse protected.
