We would like to personally congratulate Isaias Torres who was on Telemundo on the morning of March 25th, and was surprised with 1 of 2 National Scholarships directly through Collgeboard for the amount of $40,000. He is a current senior at Meyers high school and is a former participant of the Hispanic Outr...each Pathways to College-High school mentoring Program. He also completed a one-week SAT Bootcamp Prep Course the summer of 2020 during the COVID-19 Pandemic and successfully earned college credits with the Young Scholars Program at King's College. We as a community want to honor Isaias's achievement, for it is extremely motivating for our youth and shows great dedication. Nos gustaría felicitar personalmente a Isaias Torres, quien estuvo en Telemundo la mañana del 25 de marzo, y fue sorprendió con 1 de 2 Becas Nacionales directamente a través de Collgeboard por la cantidad de $40,000. Es un estudiante de último año en la escuela secundaria Meyers y es un ex participante del Hispanic Outreach Pathways to College-High school mentoring Program. Due to inclement weather conditions, the ESL Program is cancelled for tonight-Tuesday, Feb 9. The program will resume tomorrow- Wednesday, February 10 at 7:00pm. First virtual session begins Thursday, Feb 11. Additionally, if you have not yet tested for COVID-19 and still intend on attending the program for the semester, you are required to present a NEGATIVE test result before coming to King’s College. If we do not hear from you by the end of this week, your name will be ta...ken out from the class list and removed from the program. Due to inclement weather conditions, the ESL Program scheduled to begin tomorrow-Monday, Feb 1st is cancelled & postponed until Tuesday, February 2. Again, there is NO classes tomorrow! We will continue to monitor weather conditions and post any scheduling changes for Tuesday as the snow storm remains in effect until Tuesday afternoon. Due to class capacity and social distance protocols, the Adult ESL Program is limited to the number of students admitted in the program for the spring semester and will only hold registrations on the TWO dates listed below. Additionally, interested applicants are asked to bring full course payment, wear masks, and maintain social distance during your visit to the college campus. We remain committed to continuing ESL courses while following federal, state, and local guidelines. All students that were enrolled and actively attending classes in the 2020 Spring semester will be automatically enrolled for the Fall 2020 semester at no cost!
