Over next couple of weeks you may see our crews out at the station with hose run around and through the building. Crews have started our annual hose testing whi...ch helps to ensure the hose we place in the street to supply the apparatus as well as all of hose we may take into a burning building are ok and won't fail when out crews both career and volunteer are operating. Today Group 1 was working on E4's attack/handlines. If you are on the are of the station please watch for our personnel and equipment in and around both Wyoming Ave and Welter Ln. This is all part of working to maintain a high level of service to the residents of Kingston and Forty Fort as well as the rest of the area.

Director of Parks and Recreation Position Advertisement The Municipality of Kingston is accepting applications/resumes for the position of Director of Parks and Recreation. This is a Full-Time Exempt position.... The Director of Parks and Recreation is responsible for the daily operation and administration of the Kingston Recreation Center, the seasonal operation and administration of the Kingston Community Pool, overseeing and coordinating the planning and development of seven outdoor public parks, establishing and maintaining working relationships with various community and regional athletic organizations, investigating and pursuing viable park and recreation grant opportunities, and coordinating the organization, implementation, operation, and evaluation of all recreation programs, facilities, and activities. The Director of Parks and Recreation works closely with the Department of Public Works to ensure the proper maintenance of all public park and recreation facilities. The position directly supervises employees assigned to the Parks and Recreation Department, part-time and seasonal employees, summer camp staff, and Kingston Community Pool staff. Candidates must be able to work nights and weekends. It is preferred but not necessary that candidates hold a degree in Parks and Recreation or a related field. It is preferred but not necessary that candidates have 5 years of professional experience in parks and recreation management and knowledge of local government administration. Candidates must be proficient in computer programs and applications such as Microsoft Office, Rec Desk, and various social media platforms. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and all necessary clearances. The starting salary will be based on qualifications and experience. Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package.
