Kish-View Farms

Last week we had a new engine installed on the generator. The engine runs on methane produced by the digester. The manure from all of our cows is fed into a sealed tank where bacteria convert any undigested feed into methane gas. The generator makes enough electricity to power our farm and some excess is sold to the electric company. The old engine had been running almost continually since February of 2011, the meter was showing almost 62,000 hours. It had produced about 5.5 million kw/hrs of electricity
