During his training he performed clinical research, authored medical journal articles and presented scientific studies at medical conferences around the country. In 1985 he opened his practice in Adult and Pediatric Allergy, Asthma and Immunology with offices in Havertown and Media, Pennsylvania. He opened his Lankenau Hospital office in 2006 and a fourth office in Glen Mills in 2017. Dr. Klein was Board Certified in Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He served as the Chief of the Allergy Section at Riddle Hospital and Delaware County Memorial Hospital for over 20 years. Dr. Klein taught frequently as he lectured at medical grand rounds and seminars throughout the country. He mentored medical students, interns, residents and fellows. He worked as an expert medical consultant for law firms, pharmaceutical companies and a local school district. He was interviewed on numerous occasions in New York and Philadelphia on television, radio and in newspapers. He also authored chapters in several medical textbooks and has been recognized many times as a Top Doc by Main Line Today and by Philadelphia Magazine. To Our Patients, We are committed to keeping you, our staff and our community as safe as we can. We will be making a number of temporary changes to the way we run our office, in order to do our part in promoting social distancing, while at the same time providing you with the care you need to keep you healthy. This is a rapidly evolving situation and recommendations may change as the situation in our community changes. We encourage you to go to our Facebook page often where ...we will posting updates as needed. Effective immediately, we are asking all of our patients to do the following: If you need medical advice because you are having fever, muscle aches, coughing, vomiting or diarrhea please call the office. Do not come into the office before speaking with the doctor. Do not come into the office if you have traveled by plane or cruise in the last 2 weeks. If you are experiencing any symptoms that concern you, please call. Reschedule any routine visits for at least 2 4 weeks from now. If you must come into the office please come by yourself. If you must bring someone with you then only bring one other person. If the person accompanying you appears ill, they will be asked to wait in their car. When you arrive at the parking lot of the office, please call and let a staff member know that you have arrived and provide us with a mobile phone number. A staff member will call you back when there is a room available for your visit. It is better to wait in your car then in a waiting room. We will not be shaking hands in the office. Your safety and health is our biggest concern. We aim to provide excellent and safe health care during these troubled times.

Dr. Klein was interviewed on Fox News about a new treatment for children with peanut allergy called Palforzia. It is approved for children aged 4 17 years of age and involves the careful oral administration of increasing amounts of peanut protein. Initially, treatment is administered in a very small dose in the Allergist’s office and then continued at home. The dose is then increased gradually over a period of weeks with close supervision by the Allergist. This new treat...ment does not eliminate or cure peanut allergy but enables the allergic child to tolerate up to three peanuts without experiencing a severe allergic reaction called anaphylaxis. Users of this drug should still avoid eating peanuts but if a small accidental ingestion occurs then the risk of anaphylaxis should be reduced.
