Kobushi Families, Thank you for being patient with us as we figured out a game plan. The good news is we are really only missing a week and a half of classes, because we were going to be on Holiday break after words. We will be doing zoom classes in the meantime, so you can stay refreshed on your material and test if you have not done so yet. In the matter of one day in March, our school went from the biggest it has ever been - to drastically less. We are finally start...ing to get our numbers up again, only to be forced to close. If you are able to support the school and keep your payment going from December To January, it would be greatly appreciated. The class times will be as followed. Monday 12/14 Blue, red, green belt kids. 4:30 - 5:00pm Yellow and orange belt kids. 5:10 - 5:40pm Brown belt kids. 5:50 - 6:20pm Jr black belts. - 6:30 - 7:00pm Tuesday 12/15 White belt, special needs, LD. 4:30 - 5:00pm Black belt children 5:10 - 5:40pm Jr adults & adults 5:50 - 6:20pm Wednesday 12/16 Same schedule as Monday Thursday 12/17 same schedule as Tuesday Friday 12/18 Make- up testing. Kobushi Families, Sadly, Governor wolf is forcing us to shutdown again Effective Saturday. We are still processing this (as we learned mid classes) and will have a plan of attack ASAP. Friday, December 11th will now be treated as a test day. Students that have class that day, will come at their normal time. Even if you don’t have a class tomorrow, you may still come and test before we are forced to close. Please don’t come inbetween classes, come at a scheduled time. ... 1st class 4:30 - 5:20 2nd class 5:40 - 6:20 3rd class 6:40-7:30 Stay tuned for future plans, and we are so sorry for the inconvenience. Kobushi Families! Our guidelines for reopening on Monday, July 20th are here. Keep in mind that these guidelines can be updated on a weekly basis. We are trying to take all the steps necessary to ensure a safe and healthy environment and get us back to doing what we love to do! Below are a list of the changes until further notice. A picture of the new schedule will be attached below. 1. Everyone must wear a mask and socks. Can be no exceptions to this. The only way we can sta...y open is by ensuring we are as safe as can be. 2. There will be a temperature check at the door before you come in. If you child is feeling sick whatsoever, please do not bring them in. 3. No parents will be allowed in the building, they may walk their child to the door and pick them up at the door at the end of class. 4. All the students will be 6 feet apart. (We measured our normal line up and its 6 feet anyway, so that's good) 5. We have 3 dojos, so in a majority of the classes - the 3 dojos will be used instead of the standard 2 to make the classes even smaller. 6. Class time will be shortened to 40 minutes. (Still the standard 30 for little dragons and special needs). We advise you to stretch/warm up so that as soon as you come in - we can do a full 40 minute action packed class. Class time is shortened so that we may clean as much as we can in between the classes and get the students out without being jam packed by the next class. So we will clean everything before the start of classes, clean in between classes and another full cleaning at the end of the day. We also hired a company to thoroughly clean everything during a 3 day span to ensure we start with a fresh slate! 7.If we use kicking bags, that bag will be only said students bag for the entire class, we wont be sharing them. 8. Hand sanitizer before and after the class. 9. No leadership for the time being but that will be updated in a week by week basis. 10. We also have a new covid-19 liability sheet we will need you to sign and bring in on your first class back. It will be on our website under documents in a day or two - just waiting on the website guy for an update. Ill be sure to make a regular post regarding it when its on. Dear Kobushi Families, As many of you may know already but for those who do not today will be my last day at Kobushi. I will be there today to say my goodbyes to everyone. It's been an honor and a privilege teaching everyone. Over the past 20+ I've watched many kids grow up, graduate and move on to college and it's been great. That was my favorite aspect of the job. Unfortunately it's time for me to move on with my life for myself and my family. You all will be missed greatly.
