Huge congratulations to all of the amazing volunteers for receiving the Presidential Volunteer Awards today! The past year was especially challenging for many for sure but the overwhelming support and the hearts of these volunteers helped our communities like no other year! We would like to also thank David Oh Val Arkoosh, Senator Maria Collett & Rev. Taehoo Lee for their wonderful remarks and for the encouraging and supportive speeches! Of course, big thanks to all who worked tirelessly to ensure this awards ceremony actually held in person, observing the current Covid-19 guidelines.

Senate Votes to Consider Hate Crimes Bill With Overwhelming Bipartisan Support! https://www.facebook.com/108595657996705/posts/118743120315292/
With the rising incidents of hate crimes, many of them seemingly targeting the AAPI community, one thing is certain and that is all of us working together, in unity, is the call to action we need to step up for. On Sunday April 11, 2021 we did exactly that. We, AAPI Montgomery County Governor Wolf's Advisory Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs, public officials like Val Arkoosh, Senator Maria Collett, PA State Rep. Todd Stephens, Nelly Jimenez-Arevalo, Stephanie Sun..., George Choe, Randy Duque and KAAGP along with many others & organizations, came together in solidarity to stop the hate and to educate and bring attention to the current state of social disparity. We cannot thank everyone who attended, enough and even bigger thanks to all of our volunteers, who tirelessly worked in the rain to ensure things moved along smoothly. Below is the link to the short speech the President of KAAGP, Sharon Hartz, gives where she talks about the Korean Crime Prevention Committee that was formed help the Korean community. https://youtu.be/g7lM1TvRxek
Together We are Stronger!
I'm proud to announce that, as of today, we will be opening pre-registration for the COVID-19 vaccine to all eligible #MontCoPA residents! It took a hard-fought effort to get here, but I couldn't be happier that all Montco residents 16+ will soon have a chance to get vaccinated.
