Today's feature art is called "Soul Bond". The two characters have a close bond as they shelter together amidst the tangled branches of the forest. The lady wea...rs a headband with the three phases of the moon on it, which is traditionally a symbol of the Triple Goddess. The moon is also associated with wolves howling at night in the moonlight. The woman looks over her shoulder and their eyes are both on the same level in the picture as they both look directly out at the viewer, almost as if we have disturbed them, and this also gives the impression that they are on the look out for danger. This evening there is a full moon, on calendars it says the full moon is on the 27th, which is technically true as the moon is at its fullest after midnight, but it is tonight you can look out for it. Astronomically speaking, the Moon is only ‘full’ reflecting the maximum amount of sunlight onto Earth for a brief period of time. This happens when Earth comes exactly between the Moon and The Sun. In the UK, this will happen at 4:13am on 27 April, however to the naked eye, the Moon will appear full for another two to three nights afterwards. See more

I'm just back from a few days holiday by the sea on the coast of Yorkshire. Lovely weather and beaches and my son and I enjoyed fossil hunting on the beaches an...d found quite a few ammonites. I thought we'd have a bit of a Nordic theme on the page this week to go with the launch of our new Ouroboros artefacts today. This picture is called "Friend or ...Foe" and by the costume of the maiden is Viking in style. These two companions stand at night by the camp gates and greet new arrivals. If these are friends they will be welcomed warmly to sit around the camp fire with a flagon of mead. If they are foes I suspect things will not go very smoothly for them at all and they will be quickly despatched by this loyal guard dragon. See more

Today's featured art is called "Siblings" and is one I painted quite recently. I'm posting this today in line with this weekend's egg theme for Easter and Ostar...a. Here the lady is guardian of some very precious eggs, and holds one in her arms checking its progress, while its siblings looks on from around her shoulders. There are various dragon motifs in her costume - in the headdress, broches and her pendant. The pendants depicts Ouroboros, the mythical dragon/serpent circling round and eating its own tail, which is a symbol of rebirth and renewal. We are launching two new STOKED Artefacts made from my Ouroboros design next week. They will be the subject of my Video post at 10:00 GMT on Tuesday and then they will be launched in our Etsy shop.
