Cheers to short-term rentals being allowed as of yesterday.

Carbon County has moved to the yellow phase and short-term rentals are now permitted starting May 22nd! We have some very rare vacancies at THE GREAT ESCAPE from cancellations due to the previous uncertainty of when they would be permitted again. Great hike at gorgeous Hickory Run Lake and along the creek. Was like being in a fairytale land. Then we hit Boulder Field. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there.

We recently updated the furniture in the Americana and Lodge Bedrooms (the upstairs bedrooms) with extremely high-quality, log beds from our friends at EZ Mountain Rustic Furniture and we couldn't be happier with the upgrade. We just felt like the Americana room was the only one of the four bedrooms that needed some improvement. So now the American room has 1 queen, 1 full, and 1 twin (twin over full), and the Lodge bedroom still has 1 queen, but was updated to a MASSIVE (and... I mean MASSIVE) log bed with a headboard that's over 6 feet tall! To the American Room we also added a very cool, up-cycled dresser and large mirror, and will soon be adding a TV (making it the last of the 4 bedrooms to get a TV). Each year we try to do at least one significant improvement, and this year we did two (counting the completely renovated bathroom). We also added a 65" TV to the game room. Next year we're hoping to either update the game room, including a wet bar, and sleeping for 4 more people or Add a master bathroom to the Mexican room. Stacy is for the latter, and you can probably guess what I'm for.
