This week we celebrate National Healthcare Facilities and Engineering Week. During what has been a very challenging year, we appreciate all that our facility teammates have done to quickly and thoroughly implement safety measures related to the virus that causes COVID-19. We would not be able to provide clean, safe, and healing environments for our patients without your meticulous care and attention to detail! We are so grateful for this team’s passion and commitment and to going above and beyond to foster our mission of helping our patients heal and recover. Hand hygiene is one of the leading ways to prevent the spread of harmful bacteria, especially during the winter months, and even more so this year as we experience the flu season and COVID-19. At LRH, we take that seriously! During this time, it is our highest priority to take all of the necessary precautions to keep our patients, family members, staff and the community safe, while creating fun in what we do!

At LRH, we hold our Core Values to the highest regard. In September, our employees sent more than 2,000 recognitions to each other, and 1,786 within the category of Staying Focused on the Patient. With this level of recognition, we are celebrating with Lancaster Burger Company Food truck! Thank you LRH family for creating a safe culture for our patients and always taking the extra step to encourage and recognize each other!

The celebrations of PT month continue as staff were encouraged to wear blue, red, pink, orange or yellow in honor of our Pac Man theme. The personalities of the ghosts were posted outside of the therapy gym for staff to see if they matched the color ghost they dressed as! We appreciate all staff who continue to take care of our patients, while continuing to create fun in what you do!

This week we had the honor of recognizing and celebrating our wonderful Case Management team! This year has created a different and often times challenging environment for members in this field and we are so inspired to see how our Case Managers have shown continued determination, resolution and the ability and willingness to rise to the occasion in the face of a never-before-seen pandemic. Connecting patients and families in a ‘no visitor’ or limited visitor world, ensuring safe discharge plans, communicating solely by phone, email, or skype all behind a mask. We are so appreciative of their expertise, dedication and most of all, their unwavering compassion and patient advocacy. Thank you LRH Case Management Team!
