We are excited to launch our 5th year of the Play it Forward Program! We will collect donations to purchase necessary instrument accessories outlined on School District of Lancaster music teacher wish lists. The items are distributed to students who may have difficulties obtaining them independently. Play it Forward allows students to continue to participate in their school’s band or orchestra program and reduces out of pocket expenses for teachers! This program is in partnership with Menchey Music Service, Inc. Lancaster who assists shoppers in selecting their donation items. It is our goal to fulfill 100% of the wish lists for the 3rd year in a row. Your support is appreciated! Monetary donations are receivable through the LSO website by clicking the link below. https://lancastersymphony.org/support/donate/

You never know what treasures await when moving into an old building in downtown Lancaster! A collection of priceless photographs and memorabilia from the early years of the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra was recently discovered and donated to Lancaster History. Scott Drackley, Executive Director of Penn Square Music Conservatory, moved his music school to Marshall Avenue and unearthed the collection amidst the dust and boxes. Among the collection were photos taken during Sound Discovery Community Engagement events that benefit the School District of Lancaster and all of Lancaster County. To see our humble beginnings in the photographs and how we've grown is astounding. Click the link below to read the full story. https://bit.ly/3dvCtlR

Your gift directly impacts many facets of the organization - such as bolstering our education programs for underserved students and investing in the professional musicians who are the heart of the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra.
