Lancaster Township Fire Department

We would like to congratulate Firefighter Shannon Jones for passing her Firefighter 1 certification. Firefighter Jones has put in countless hours studying and training in order to become Firefighter 1 certified. Thank you Firefighter Jones for your hard work, dedication and time protecting the citizens of Lancaster Township and surrounding areas.

Class 2, two car accident yesterday at 10:44 am at Marietta Avenue and N. President Avenue. One injury was reported.

An early morning wake up call for Lancaster Township firefighters. At at 5:48 am, Onstar reported a vehicle accident at Second Lock Road and Yardley Green. Deputy Chief Usdin reported a vehicle into a structure upon his arrival. The occupants had exited the vehicle. The car failed to stop at the Second Lock Road and Yardley Green intersection stop sign, mowed over a small tree and crashed into the wall at the entrance of Conestoga Memorial Cemetery. Rescue 66 illuminated the area while Lancaster EMS evaluated the patients and Manheim Township PD conducted their investigation. No fire department services were needed.

Volunteers responded to an accident Sunday morning in the parking lot of Wheatland Middle School. A red Buick collided with a motorcycle near the Fifth Street entrance. Firefighters provided patient care, spill and traffic control. Photos courtesy of FF Pat Egan.

Today members participated in a live burn exercise at the West Chester Training Facility. Big thank you to @lafayettefire for the invite. Great job done by all.
