We had a beautiful training on "Ritual and Image: Tarot Looks at the Winter Solstice" last Friday. Here are a few more solstice thoughts:
There is still time to join us this Friday for Ritual and Image: Tarot Looks at the Winter Solstice! 1 to 3 p.m. ET The Winter Solstice marks the longest night in the Northern Hemisphere, and the Tarot deck is a pictorial map of the spiritual journey. Together they are a match made in the heavens of symbol, dreams, myth, story, history and imagination. And, as we prepare ourselves and our people for the cold and darker months ahead, we can use the Tarot images to sort out ...a path forward as we sift through the meanings of this ancient celebration and the venerable Tarot. In this online training, instructed by Karen Carnabucci, LCSW, TEP, we will explore simple rituals that give grounding and meaning to our world, and look at a five-step structure that looks at the sorrows and gifts of this shortest day. Certificate of attendance and two CE and psychodrama hours provided. More info and registration here --> https://www.eventbrite.com/e/202644474077

Happy birthday #psychodrama! On this day in 1921, a young doctor rented a theater, dressed as a jester and placed an empty throne on the stage, asking for a leader to step forward and take the seat. It was a daring sociopolitical act that would lead to the improvisational method that would eventually spread around the world and be known as the parent of role play. Watch for my conversation about psychodrama later today at 3 ET on the @wearequilt app.

We take roles all the time. Pleased to see my commentary about leadership and the role of a leader in the current issue of Natural Awakenings. It's a subject I've been interested in for a long time, and now am thinking about at a higher level.
