The board and volunteers of the Laughlintown Community Center would like to wish you a very Happy New Year! Thanks to the generosity and support of so many who were able to donate, we are so pleased to share that we have raised enough funds to keep the center afloat for awhile. We are hopeful that 2021 will be a happy, healthy, and more prosperous year for everyone. And that when you make plans to gather with your family and friends, you will consider renting our facility. Like so many non-profits and small businesses, the Laughlintown Community Center has taken a major financial hit as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The facility relies heavily on event rentals to cover the costs of maintaining and insuring the building, the adjacent playground, and the Laughlintown Bicentennial Park. Since the spring, the volunteer-run organization has lost thousands and thousands of dollars and finds itself in desperate straits. The volunteers of the comm...unity center have applied for a grant to offset losses, but it won't be enough to make ends meet and may only keep the facility afloat for a couple months. Can you spare a few dollars to help the Laughlintown Community Center? Any donation will help make an impact.
