Few things are as satisfying as a freshly mopped room. This strength training room is used for personal training. The barn doors can also open up to the group fitness room to create one big multi-purpose space for classes.

These barn doors allow us to expand the space and access the strength equipment in the back, or close things off for privacy during personal training sessions.

Our group fitness room isn't covered in mirrors, and that's on purpose. Too often I see people scowling at their own reflection while they work out. We can just as effectively teach correct technique by focusing on how a movement feels, rather than relying on how it looks in the mirror. We do have mirrors in the strength training room so people can fine tune their technique, and I won't lie I'm pretty proud of how clean they look right now. Unfortunately I still don't know how to smile for a photo.

Cleaning may not make for the most exciting content but it's a huge part of getting the studio ready to open! Now that the construction dust has settled the deep cleaning begins. Our opening class schedule is starting to shape up. We've got circus-infused strength classes, handstand training, and mobility / flexibility work on offer weekly starting this summer. Stay tuned!

Sneak peek at a class we're bringing to Philly this summer: Cirque-It Fitness! CIF is a fun way to get in shape or cross train for other sports. It's 45 minutes of on and off apparatus training designed for people of all ability levels. Stay tuned for more information! Note: this photo was taken before the coronavirus pandemic. All participants must wear masks and maintain distance in our facility.

We are so, so close to being ready to open for group fitness classes. Our target is May, but some of that will depend on vaccine availability. Classes will still be distanced, well ventilated, and masked, but as an employer I am not asking any of my instructors to teach in person before they've had the chance to be vaccinated. We have some really fun classes planned, hope to see everyone soon!

The studio is slowly, very slowly, coming together but in the meantime there are a whole bunch of new online classes on the schedule for February! Most exciting is a new suspension trainer class. Construction is still underway at the gym but we're in the home stretch! I spent yesterday installing the rubber flooring in the strength training area and our virtual schooling "pod" got to try it out today.
