We’re ready for some cooking volunteers! If you’ve reached out and offered to help already...contact us. We are finally ready! If you want to have a great time helping us not burn stuff...contact us. If you have a favorite recipe that you’ve been wanting to pass on or want to rescue a grilled cheese from potential destruction or maybe just really like bossing people around in the kitchen....contact us. Launch Pad provides the food, you provide hands-on instruction and encouragement. Proficiency with fire extinguisher helpful but not required. Short term and occasional volunteers welcome. [email protected] or Lia at 717-422-8385
Something’s cooking at the Launch Pad! Here’s some of what we learned (and ate) this week.
Move in day at the Launch Pad! We had a young man join our community today. Thank you to the Newville community for accepting us, our donors for supporting us and volunteers for making our shabby building into a home. Thank you all for making this moment a reality.

Looking for some fun Friday night plans?? Come out and join us for a night at the Drive-In and support an amazing organization! The Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg-North has given countless hours of volunteer renovation work at the Launch Pad. They also do so much to help so many other organizations that are serving our community. We are looking forward to being able to give back to an organization that has given so much to the Launch Pad!
Here’s a video for everyone that likes demolition as much as Gary.
Diller Mennonite Church spent the evening moving furniture, appliances and helping us ready the apartments. They also demolished old shelves in the basement, cleaned our carport, saved an old sewing machine and installed new lights. Big WOW to the amount of work this group got done in a few hours. Thank you! Great to spend time with you all.
