Hauk Machines S3 Episode 2 This week on Hauk Machines: Kenny and crew start a brand new project for Roy Pitz Brewery in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania involving a ...classic 1946 Chevy COE - an ultra-rare vehicle that is very hard to come by. The goal of the project is to build a slammed rat-rod style diesel tanker truck that hauls 14 kegs of Roy Pitz beer to parties and events. An extremely unique mobile party on wheels! The Tanker project will also be entered into the ‘Ultimate Diesel Rat Rod Build Off’ at this year’s Ultimate Callout Challenge event in Indianapolis, IN. Kenny’s competitor in the build off, Josh Joyce of Village Customs in NC, also visits the shop to discuss the goals for his project. This week on Hauk Machines, Kenny and crew get back to work on the Bilstein Unimog project. The factory Unimog snorkel is going to be replaced with Kenny’s Riv...er Raider snorkel, which was the first product he designed for his business more than 13 years ago. Work continues on the Unimog body with replacement of the front cross-member to allow more room for a brand new Warn wench. Patching continues around the body with new sheet metal pieces cut out on the Maverick CNC. Meanwhile the new 47 Pitbull Growler tires arrive in the shop, Kenny & Jake design a 2 ‘roll cage’ for a canopy to be installed in the bed using their Huth bender to bend the tubes, and the cab is finally lifted off the chassis in order to expose the frame to prep everything for paint. This week on Hauk Machines: Kenny and Jake get to work on the Chevy C.O.E. Tanker project for Roy Pitz Brewery. In order for the vehicle to be a true 18-wheel...er, it will need five different axels put together and mounted to a brand-new frame, fabricated out of 2x8 box tubing with cross members. Meanwhile the control arms from BDS Suspension, JKS track bars, and air bag system from Ridetec arrives at the shop.
