Today was National take your child to work day. For me, this is challenging due to the subject matter of my job- not to mention the complete boredom my daughter might possibly experience while I fill my day with so much reading and typing -she would run back to school! I am fortunate enough to work part-time as a Solicitor in the Office of Law for Luzerne County. County Manager, David Pedri and Sandy Shaw put together an amazing day for the kids. They heard about security, toured a courtroom (I was definitely jealous when she got to put on the Judge’s robe) and then they met the County detective dog, Spike. It was fantastic! Thank you for all your work!

Today, My Mom was sweet enough to post this recent advertisement of mine. Today, February 5, 2019, I also answered the phone in my office. The woman on the other end asked to speak with a lawyer. I told her I was the lawyer. She replied, Oh I thought the lawyer would be a man. The lesson here is to my daughter and all girls: do not ever put limitations on yourself based on what others think, don’t ever be limited by labels, put-downs, negative, insecure, uniformed people. Be exactly what YOU say you will be! YOUR VOICE, YOUR HEART, YOUR DISCIPLINE, YOUR GOALS AND YOUR DESIRES ARE YOURS - AND NO ONE OR NOTHING CAN TAKE THEM AWAY FROM YOU! So don’t sweat the small things or the small people- just smile like I did today and say exactly how can I help you?
