Hopefully everyone is safe and warm during all of this snow. This time of the year, and today especially, people might notice their sensitive teeth bothering them more and more. Here are a few reasons why that can happen: 1. Seasonal illnesses. Head colds and sinus infections can cause teeth to ache. This might be why some people notice when they are sick that their teeth bother them. ... 2. Hot beverages. This time of the year we tend to drink more hot drinks which can exacerbate already sensitive teeth. 3. Sugary foods. Cookies, cakes, and other yummy foods are always nice in moderation, but seem to show up everywhere during the winter months. Sensitivity to sugary foods can be a sign of an untreated dental issue.
