Somerset County 9-1-1 received a special delivery this evening. Austin Peterson with Scout BSA Troop 5325 constructed a display case for our center to display o...ur many plaques, commendations, and our collection of public safety patches. This beautifully constructed pine display case will serve our center well and we thank Mr. Peterson for considering our 9-1-1 center as the beneficiary for his Eagle Scout Project. Eagle Scout is the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Since its inception in 1911, only four percent of Scouts have earned this rank after a lengthy review process. As a part of the process, a Life Scout must plan, fund, and execute a project that positively impacts a community or community organization. The Eagle Scout rank has been earned by over 2.5 million youth. Somerset County 9-1-1 is proud to have two Eagle Scouts in our ranks. Telecommunicator Joel Bumbarger and Deputy Director / 91-1 Coordinator Brad Lavan have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
