The big winter clean out started today! We have had the pleasure of hosting lots of Scouts over the years and today we recycled Merit Badge cards 2004-2015! Almost filled the trash can. Don't worry Scouts - we kept 5 years worth - just in case you need to check records (yes, we have been asked several years later - a few times). Hope to fill our box again soon - 2021 Scout programs start in February! #ScoutsBSA #GirlScouts #MeritBadges #Geology #Bats #MammalStudy #Geocaching #Exploration #Adventure
What a pleasure it was to host the Bradford family at Lincoln Caverns today! It's been a long time. It was a wonderful afternoon. Thank you so much!
Happy New Year!
Enjoy this awesome video from our friend Nicole at Bluff Dwellers Cave!
Vanadinite adds a nice sparkle to a dreary day. It’s one of the most striking minerals, with its stunning bright-red and orange crystals that are perfectly formed and look almost surreal. This mineral is truly a marvel of nature. Vanadinite is a stone known for facilitating and expanding the mental process while also promoting action and production. It’s a perfect crystal for long hours of work, studying, or exercising.... #vanadinite #vanadinitespecimen #hexagoncrystals #fallcolors #lincolncaverns #lincolncavernsandwhisperrocks #raystownrocks

Over the weekend, a ring was found by a guest in our lot and returned to the counter. If you lost, or know someone who lost a ring, please have them contact us with a description. The ring seems well worn and much loved. We hope it makes it back to its owner.
It was another weekend of bountiful blessings, screams, scares, new friends and lots of fall Halloween fun! Thank you to all who joined us for Ghosts & Goblins and Sunday interpretive tours. Bartlebaugh's food was amazing. Our goblins were in rare form. The weather was crisp and brisk and the leaves were at their peak. What a great weekend in Raystown Country & Huntingdon County.
This Agate slab was talking to me this morning. Agate is a common rock formation, consisting of chalcedony and quartz as it’s primary components, consisting of a wide variety of colors (as you can see). Agates are primarily formed writhing volcanic and metamorphic rocks. Known as a stabilizer, Agate is the stone to use for support when you need stability and grounding in your life. It’s a very soothing and stress relieving gemstone.... #agate #agateslab #agatespecimen #raystownrocks #lincolncaverns #lincolncavernsandwhisperrocks #lcandwr
