LCS's Development Team hosted its first Gingerbread House Decorating Contest. The contest was open to all families and submissions were judged in the following categories: Most Traditional, Most Creative, Most Humorous. Winners will receive a $20 Fox Meadows Creamery gift card in the mail. This year's winners are: Most Traditional: Briella & Christian Heim... Mrs. Balmer, Mrs. Dunk, and Mr. Hannis prepared a cross-curricular Gingerbread House Competition Project in STEAM, Language Arts, and Math for the 6th and 8th graders. The students, individually or with a partner, planned their creations, balanced a budget, prepared a well-written contest entry form, and even cleaned up their work environment! The judges of the competition were made up of a panel of teachers and administrators.
