Sometimes it’s fun to play with walnut heartwood/sapwood for nightstands.

This is perfect weather to cut unusual walnut pieces. Knobs, 4X4s for legs, and curved slabs, all of which have heartwood sapwood combinations.

Ok, so sawmillers take lousy videos, so what. We cut 3 large walnuts that all had crotches.

Four walnut crotch slabs, surfaced and off to become kitchen tabletops.

I have been cutting a bunch of 4 foot long 1 1/2 inch thick coffee table slabs. Just the right size. Many slabs are figured with crotch grain. I’m selling cheap.

I have many walnut slabs available from 8 foot long table slabs to 3 foot end table slabs and everything in between. Solar kiln dried for great stability. I love cutting walnut crotched and book matching. Give me a call as I am going to be cutting a bunch more walnut.
