Little Blue 03.05.2021

It’s Dinosaur Week, here at Little Blue Industries (*not an industry). We have all kinds of Dino books for the little kids who think they don’t like to learn and yet will be able to pronounce Ankylosaurus long before you or I. Give ‘enough something to get excited about after they’ve put away their school-sanctioned spelling tin (do kids get spelling tins? Does anyone else remember them?) And there are some old faves for bedtime reading and for exploring outside as the weat...her cools down a little. And, for the kids who have outgrown the Magic Schoolbus and Treehouse, maybe it’s time to move on to Rick Riodon and Greek Mythology?

It’s an exciting day for Little Blue fans: the library has undergone a complete refresh, ready for these long, looong summer days. Now featuring some of our favorite picture books, some non-fiction for young readers, some adventures for middle-grade readers and a collection of stories from the delightfully silly Phineas and Ferb. And there might be some extra surprises on the bench nearby, for kids who are looking for something new to play with....

Lots of new titles for the elementary and middle schoolers while they’re at home for the next two week! Even a DVD or two (I LOVE Little Einstein’s!) I’ll be adding more often, including some titles for grown ups who also need a break.... Thanks to all the people who are swapping and donating.

Since it’s Black History Month, how about a couple of National Book Award winners (and a Newberry Prize winner) along with a NYT Book of the Year, by writers of color?
