For everyone wondering about touring homes for sale during the pandemic, here is what my Realtors Association says, Please note that GALMLS is not recommending holding open houses, and instead ask that you make this decision in conjunction with your clients. We do recommend adhering to the new Safer at Home Order, and if you choose to show a home, please consider the following guidelines: Comply with Social Distancing requirements of 6 feet distance... Allow no more than 9 people total in a house at any time Use a face mask and require all who enter the property to use facial masks Ask the property owner/tenant to turn all necessary lighting and open any doors to better show the property before they leave for your showing Use hand sanitizer for anyone entering the property Keep a log of all who enter the property and a phone number to reach them in the future Consider a no-touch thermometer to check all who enter for fever/elevated temperature The above is a suggested and in no way a complete list for safely holding an open house. Use your best judgment in showing a house and discuss the options and concerns with your client before scheduling or entering a house.
