Mr. Granite had his first cross country schooling this past weekend & totally rocked it! He’s going to be quite the special young horse, I’m so excited with him.

2020. Lunar Hill Equestrian came out on top. With the support of our amazing friends & family, we ended up having an amazing horse filled year. The first half of 2020, I think we all got a bit of a mandatory vacation. The horses loved having some down time and I was able to focus on my horses in training. That really set us up for a successful show season! We collectively took home a LOT of blue ribbons and have made some amazing progress in our horsemanship & riding skills.... I am so proud of everyone for not giving up, not losing hope, and being as determined as ever to conquer this years challenges. I am incredibly appreciative and lucky to have such a thoughtful barn family who have made this all possible. You guys have no idea what your support means to me. Now, let’s set some goals for 2021!

Start with ground work & set your horse up for success. I took the time to reintroduce yielding to pressure & establishing vocal commands for the past two weeks with Granite. This is a picture from his first ride post track! He’s very balanced, responds to lateral leg pressure, and wants to seek contact. I’m excited for Granites future!

All of this is 100% FACTUAL! I’ve worked with a lot of thoroughbreds.. - None of them are spooky, at all. A lot of mine get delivered at midnight & have to walk down my long, dark, and scary driveway. The OTTB’s have no issue with this. My personal thoroughbred watched a 40ft trailer get DRAGGED up a driveway with a wheel loader & didn’t even prick his ears up! - Every single one has clean flying lead changes. - All of my thoroughbreds trail ride & are as close to bombproof... as they get. - Each one has had an incredible amount of talent & passion. They are such hardworking animals, it’s in their blood. I love thoroughbreds.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! We have home made carrot, apple, & honey treats baking in the oven. Can’t wait to surprise all the ponies! Have an AMAZING holiday everyone!

My amazing friends/clients gave me an amazing gift this Christmas.. an Equestic! It’s a little clip that attaches to your saddle & records an in depth analysis of your ride. I found it to be very accurate. I’m really excited to implement this into my training! Click on the individual screenshots for a breakdown of my ride with Gordon today. There’s a lot more that it shows, but these were the most interesting to me! I am lucky to be surrounded by some great people!
