LVHN also will continue to expand eligibility over the coming weeks to additional phases as outlined by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. To schedule an appointment for any LVHN COVID-19 vaccina...tion event including drive-through clinics, people eligible for vaccination can sign in to MyLVHN, the health network’s patient portal. You also can schedule an appointment by calling our COVID-19 Vaccine Hotline at 833-584-6283 (833-LVHN-CVD). However, because of large demand and call volume, you may be on hold. Antibodies provide us clues as to what our immune system encountered in the past and how we’ll fare in the future, however they’re not a crystal ball. Here’s what antibodies can and can’t tell you when it comes to COVID-19: https://bddy.me/35RPSCh.
Our values are our core. They are what we believe. Our values are the truest definition of who we are as individuals and as a cohesive LVHN. So much of what Martin Luther King Jr. stood for is reflected in the core values that guide us today: Compassion, Integrity, Collaboration and Excellence. Read what LVHN colleagues have to say as they reflect on the powerful legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. #LVHNProud #MLKDay2021 #NationalDayofService
In December, we brought you live coverage of the first LVHN front-line colleagues to receive a COVID-19 vaccine under emergency use authorization. As of today, those colleagues have received a second dose. They let us know how they felt and what you may experience in the first 24 hours. Read more: https://bddy.me/3qk827i.
Angela Schell didn’t know what hit her as she worked the night shift at a Hazleton-area warehouse on March 6, 2016. All I remember is someone saying ‘Watch out!’ she says. Then nothing until I found myself on my feet with co-workers around me. She had blacked out as a 6-foot-high stack of heavy boxes toppled onto her. Little did Angela know, she had a concussion. After several months of inconclusive care, Schell was referred to the Concussion and Head Trauma Program at L...ehigh Valley Health NetworkOne City Center in Allentown. Read Angela's story at LVHN.org/Angela. Test your concussion knowledge in our stories.
Looking towards better days ahead, LVHN will offer FREE COVID-19 vaccinations once they are available for mass distribution," announces President and CEO Brian Nester, DO, MBA, FACOEP. #LVHNproud https://bddy.me/3rCiEA0.
Think you're in the clear after a negative COVID-19 test? Not necessarily. While most people experience symptoms 4-5 days after exposure, it is possible to be infected with COVID-19 and be a carrier of the virus without experiencing symptoms for up to 14 days. This timeline illustrates why it's crucial that you quarantine for the recommended 10-day period after known exposure to COVID-19. To learn more, please visit LVHN.org/COVID19.
While better days are ahead as vaccinations begin, we still have a way to go in stopping the surge. As the holiday celebrations near, be mindful and stay safe. See the latest COVID-19 report at https://bddy.me/2WKzRZG. #doyourpart

Without partnerships like Spirit Halloween's #SpiritofChildren program, our Child Life team at Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital wouldn't be able to create experiences like these. Toys, costumes, Halloween parties, crafts and even iPads help make hospitals a little less scary for the kids while support, resources and compassion help make the experience a little less scary for their families.
