Dear Parshioners of the Madisonville Christian Church. This is Nicholas Perrige’s wife Joann. I cannot say how I appreciate all the prayers that is coming out of this holy church.... I decided and of course checked with Frank Hudzinski if it would be ok to bring you up to date on Nick’s three months journey. So here goes He started at Geisinger in Scranton and spent at least one and half month there. Appendix ruptured. The surgeons decided that he would be better off in Danville as they have a very good acute care department so off he went. He is in Danville starting off with so many tubes, IV’s and injections. I saw him 12/27 and walked in to his room. He was sitting up looking out his window at the beautiful day that it was. He had a beautiful smile on his face. Thank God. He is off dialysis and most IV’s and is beginning to tolerate the special protein mix he is getting thru his feeding tube. Which is great news. If only the fishtular (opening wound that is taking time to heal) would close up things will really move along. I tell him of the many people who are praying: Catholics, Christians, Byzantine, for him and he just raises his eyebrows as if to Thank you All. You are pulling me thru this. I know this maybe long, but I wanted you all to know how your Faith and prayers are helping my husband. I pray you will continue with prayers until Nick comes home. You are the Force along with Our Precious Father that are protecting him Merry Christmas and a Healthy Happy New Year. Once again you are in our hearts and we too pray for you.
