This morning, the American Library Association announced their annual Youth Media Awards winners! These awards include the prestigious titles of Caldecott Medal (awarded to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children), and Newbery Medal (most distinguished contribution to American literature for children). This year's Caldecott Medal winner is "We are Water Protectors" illustrated by Michaela Goade and written by Carole Lindstrom. The Newbery Medal winner is "When You Trap a Tiger" by Tae Keller. Starting Friday, February 5th, join us for our new Minecraft Club! This club is for kids in grades 3-7 who like to play Minecraft or would like to learn. Minecraft Java Edition is required to play - see our event for instructions on how to purchase and download, as well as register! Hurry - only 9 players can play each week! Did you know we are now open on Saturdays from 9-4 for browsing and checkouts? Come and see us over the weekend to grab a few books :) If you still feel uncomfortable entering the building, no problem! We will continue to provide our regular curbside pickup services Monday-Friday after 1pm. Visit ccls.org to place a hold on a book. When you receive an email that your book is "ready for pickup" simply use the link provided to schedule a pickup time. We'll bring your items rig...ht to your car.
