Ready for spring

Picked up a small swarm in Cranberry Township today. Hopefully they like their new home

First swarm of the season successfully moved! Thank you for calling and the bees will have a great new home. (Thank you to Emmett for being my trusty sidekick and camera man)

In route to first swarm call of the season! I love chasing bees, this is how I will restock my bee yard. Local stock is way better than buying bees.

I like to be an optimistic person and have pushed on keeping bees even though we loose multiple colonies every year for no known reason. This is parked not a mile from where my bees are. When you spray a whole tanker truck worth of something (could be fertilizer, Roundup, or many other things) on the field surrounding me the bees have no chance. I'll keep going because I enjoy the bees but most likely another honey less year.
