Cathy recently met with Janine Butler to discuss her Massage Therapy business. Janine graduated from Fortis Institute Massage Program in 1999. She is an ABMP C...ertified Massage Therapist and also has her PA State Massage License. Janine loves the outdoors and enjoys spending time with her dogs, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, kayaking, paddle boarding and camping. Janine pursues continuing education opportunities to better serve her clientele, and many times she combines education with travel. She has been to Costa Rica and Colorado, where both the indoor classroom experience and the outdoor travel experience provide enrichment in her personal life and the life of her business. The massage services offered are tailored to the needs of the individual and range from Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Massage and the popular Cupping Therapy. Cupping increases blood circulation to the area which may relieve muscle tension and may form new connective tissue; cupping can also improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. Any or all of these techniques can be used during a single session, at your request. Janine will see clients with different needs, from a massage for relaxation to those with injury or with chronic pain and discomfort that has not been relieved by other means. Her passion for massage therapy is apparent, as she explains the transition she sees in her client over their visits. "The most rewarding thing for me is to hear a client say their pain is gone."
