Great new everyone. Santa has just informed us, he will be visiting his friends at The Maytown Fire Department this Sunday. The Fire Chief promised Santa a ride on the Engine. He will be pulling out of the station at 5pm. He will be following the route listed below. Start at 5pm at Maytown FD - Right turn out of the station to N Queen. - Right turn on N Queen /Enslow Road.... - Right turn on Farmingdale Lane - Left turn on Countryside Lane - Right turn on Hillcrest - Left turn on Endslow Road - Right turn on Red Cedar Lane - Left turn Rosewood Lane - Left turn on 743 / Maytown Road - Right turn on King Street - Right turn on W High Street - Left turn on Cris Ann Drive / Eleanor Drive - Left turn on Harter Street - Right turn on Elizabeth Street - Right turn on 743 / S River Street - Left turn on Village Square Drive - Right turn on Furhman Road - Right turn on Coffee Goss Road - Right turn on Ashley Drive - End at Ashley Drive and 743 / Maytown Road We hope to see all the good little boys and girls. Rescue 791 and Deputy 79 provided RIT for our brothers and sisters at Station 69. Kelloggs had a fire in a dust collection silo.
Rescue 1 and 2 along with Deputy 79 handled unknown injury crash on 441. It was a vehicle verses a deer. 2 patients were signed off. Debris was removed from the roadway. Unfortunately the deer was never located. Please keep an eye out for deer crossing roadways.
79 started the weekend with a crash on 441. Crews controlled hazards. While operating on the crash. Engine 791 and Deputy 79 handled an unknown type fire. It ended up being a controlled burn. 79 crews cleared both scenes.
79 crews handled and evening crash on the 441 strip. Rescue 1 , 2 and the Engine were on scene for a short time. EMS to evaluate all involved. Chief 3 place 79 in service.
Tonight the member of 79 gathered to give thanks. Thanks for our great team, thanks for all those who support us. We enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared by our support members. It was amazing as always. Special thanks to Complete Diaster Services for providing the turkey and ham for the meal. We would also like to thank our Towship Supervisors and all our residents who support us throughout the year. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL FROM MAYTOWN FIRE.
Today our members are out with our brothers and sisters in York County. Never a bad day to practice moving water. Thank you Craley Fire for the invite.
Today Firefighter Rick Farmer visited with the children of CBC Sunday School. He talked to the children about what we do and fire safety. He really enjoyed hanging out with the kiddos. Thank you Community Bible Church for the invite.

Today R792, QRS791 and UTV 79 assisted with Pig Iron Fest. We are always happy to help with community events.
Rescue 791 and Engine 791 are currently assisting Station 10 with an Active Gas Leak. A vehicle struck the gas meter on the side of house. UGI is on the scene. Special thanks to Station 69. Engine 691 is currently covering East Donegal Twp. Hempfield Fire Department

Station 79 is currently operating on a single vehicle, roll over accident. Deputy, Rescue 791 and 792 made the response.
GREAT NEWS. The Easter Bunny is coming to Maytown today at 2pm. He will be escorted by our very own Engine 791. We look forward to seeing all the kiddos today. We will be traveling through all the developments.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Firefighter Scott "Bull" Eppley. We are wishing him a speedy recovery and release from the hospital. Firefighter Eppley suffered a medical emergency. Can't wait to have you back at the station.
The fire department monthly meeting that was scheduled for tonight (12/21/20) is postponed until January 18, 2021.
Duty 79 ready for the snow!
Tonight Supervisor Tom Jones was honored for his work in the Maytown Square. It was great to work with you on this project.
In an effort to update our fallen members plaque. We are looking to any community members who may have info on past members. Our records only go back 40 years. Any help would be appreciated.
Tonight 79 was dispatched to Route 441 and Beattys Tollgate Road for a Class One Vehicle Accident. Deputy 79 arrived on the scene to one vehicle verses a tractor trailor. One patient in the roadway and one confined to the back seat of the car. QRS 791 and Engine 10 handled patient care while R791 and R792 crews worked to remove 2 doors and a B Post. EMS arrived and took over patient care. The scene was placed under control. Thank you to Station 10 Fire and Special Fire Police for the assist.
Firefighters are in the square this evening by the post office handing out candy till around 8pm.
This evening Sara Gutshall from the American Legion Auxiliary #809 presented a certificate of appreciation to the Maytown East Donegal Township Fire Department. The certificate read "In recognition and sincere appreciation of outstanding service and assistance which contributed to the advancement of the American Legion Auxiliary programs and activities dedicated to God and Country." Sara also treated the crews to pizza for dinner prior to our Monthly Membership Meeting.
This morning members of Northwest EMS, Susquehanna Valley EMS, Maytown East Donegal Township Fire Department and Susquehanna Regional Police department were presented with "Clinical Saves" awards for their actions during a cardiac arrest event on July 1st, 2020. The awards were presented to the personnel by the gentleman who suffered the sudden cardiac arrest and has made an excellent recovery. Thank you to the Florin Church of the Brethren for hosting today's event.
The officers and members of station 79 would like to thank The Cope Company SALT of Lancaster. There generosity is nothing short of amazing. They made a donation to us to provide an amazing meal to all our members. Thank you for your support.
