When choosing primary patterns for greatest stimulus, it’s important to take into account the stability of the movement. When something is too chaotic or unstable, we lose the ability to drive as much load. For example a single leg rowing pattern will have more potential for form breakdown and compensations due to its lack of stability when increasing load compared to a chest supported row like the one in this video.

Let’s give @psu_jake some love for hitting a deadlift PR of 300 lbs for 5 reps! Last year he was experiencing a lot of SI joint pain and stopped working out. After some mobility work and re-implementing the basics we’ve managed to add 200 lbs to his deadlift in approximately 6 months without any pain. This is how it should be done. He consistently earned the right to progress through consistent effort in the gym. We are proud of you and keep up the great work!
