We said goodbye to our golden boy, Cash just before New Years. He would have been 15 this year. I was there when he was born , literally pulled him into this world. I Felt him take his very first breath in my hands and felt his very last heartbeat as he departed this life. He helped me raise his brothers and sisters, Grizzly, Willow, Boris and Bela and helped me foster puppies just passing through our care. He changed the direction of my life and I ended up working as a vet... assistant for a while in Virginia. Cash was by my side through some really tough chapters. He was the happiest boy and taught me to take things in stride. Pure sunshine, he was goofy and stubborn and full of love and mischief. And he made my life infinitely better. What an honor it was to have been his human. I’ll be keeping you in my heart and in my thoughts till we meet again, little yellow dog.

Happy Solstice December 21st marks the first day of winter, and the returning of the light. Even though the coldest days of winter are ahead of us we can celebrate the fact that our days will slowly begin to lengthen and our nights won’t drag on quite so long. Time to celebrate the beginning of a new season and a new year! Rest, reflect and dream about brighter days ahead. Light up some candles, turn on a lamp, find a way to illuminate your space on the longest nig...ht of the year. Oh, what I wouldn’t give for a fireplace right now! How ever you celebrate, we hope you find some light in the darkness. Warmest wishes for you all. See more

2020 is a wrap! The last pots are on their way to their new homes. Time for a much needed break from clay and all things ceramic to pursue other creative endeavors. Oh how I’ve missed making prints! Last year Ellie and I started a new holiday tradition. We collaborated on the first of a series of Yule Ghouls and started with Krampus. We plan to add a new ghoul to the collection every year. ... This years Yule Ghoul is from Iceland. Jólaköttur or Yule Cat is said to belong to Gryla and her sons, the Yule lads. That’s right, a whole family of Yule Ghouls!!! This Yuletide beastie roams the land peaking in on people and eating folks who haven’t received new clothes by the time Christmas rolls around. Ellie and I had a different Yule Ghoul in mind this year but this one sorta clawed it’s way to the top. It’s Krampus approved and an essential part of the Yuletide season. Happy holidays from Ellie and I and our growing horde of ghouls! Don’t forget to rock those Christmas jammies and DON’T BE A JÓLAKÖTTUR SNACK! See more

Put the kettle on! Grab your favorite mug And pour yourself a nice cuppa tea Whether you’re feeling perfectly happy or perfectly stormy tea is almost ALWAYS the answer to....well, everything. ... 2020 has had its challenges but the end is in sight and we’re all hoping for brighter days in 2021. Time to slow down and reflect on the last year. The stretch of time between pouring a fresh cup of tea and taking your last sip is a great time to do just that. These little tea ball infusers are in the shop, just waiting to help you brew the next cup and ponder the mysteries of 2020. See more

Last update for 2020! There’s still plenty of pots left and we’ve got something for just about everyone on your list.

I could make these all day every day. Plants grow better in ceramic pots. I still have a bunch of these in the shop. They make excellent gifts for the greenthumbs on your list.
