Trail clean up at McKean Elementary We will have a volunteer trail clean up day Saturday May 22nd from 10-noon (rain date TBA). If you know of any groups or high school students in need of service hours please share with them and have them contact me. What needs done?... Weeding Raking Garbage pick up What to bring? It is Teacher Appreciation Week! Our teachers are awesome! We also know it takes a whole lot of people to make a school run so we are celebrating everyone in the building. It has been a week since we handed out the 82 Paint at Home kits that were bought from our fundraiser. Have you been able to paint your snowman/snowmen yet? Are you willing to share a picture with us?

Here are some of the snowmen that were shared with us before Christmas break. We had some families that were giving the kits as gifts or saving them for an activity over break. Are there any new ones out there to share?

Help us Kick Cabin Fever! We had a record number of participants for the Recess Laps this past Fall. Mrs. Roberts is offering another optional program to help students, faculty, and families beat the winter blues. More information will be coming this week. The PTA is gathering some prizes to offer incentives to those participating in the program. This year things are different and families cannot help out by volunteering or providing dinner/baked goods for different events.... Welcome to 2021! School starts again tomorrow. The PTA meeting originally scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed until next Monday. Please join us via Zoom on Monday, January 11th at 12:00 p.m.... McKean Elementary will be in session now on Thursday, Dec. 17. The building was closed due to COVID-19 state regulations Tuesday and Wednesday but will be reope...ned because all paperwork requirements, contact tracing and cleaning procedures have been completed. Spirit Wear items will be delivered to the school later this week. In person students will receive them when they arrive. There will be two pick up options for gift orders and cyber orders. Friday, Dec. 18th from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. OR... Saturday, Dec. 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m in the circle driveway. Thank you for your support!
