Update 3/22/2021: FEMA has released additional information as well as an official page to answer questions and find info about this program. At this point in time, they suggest gathering important documentation that will be vital for the application process, we as the funeral home will have most of this documentation, besides a CERTIFIED death certificate. If you contact us we will be happy to help you acquire additional death certificates if needed. Their website states they... will begin accepting applications in April, so please check the following link regularly to stay up to date on when the application will be available and answer any questions: https://www.fema.gov//coronavi/economic/funeral-assistance Please read in regard to COVID-19 related deaths: The McKinney d’Argy and Snyder d’Argy Funeral Homes are actively following FEMA’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the way they are trying to support families who have lost a loved one as a result of the illness. At this time, there is very little information available to us, including whether there is support for deaths where COVID-19 is a direct cause or only a contributing factor. We are sensitive to the sudden impact this has had on some families, once we know who qualifies and the process is open for application, we will contact those families and help with that process.
