Testimony from Pastor Bob I have seen God moving in my life by the many confirmations he gives me when I believe he is teaching me some way to go or attitude to convey. It is amazing how God is in sovereign control and is willing to guide us in his direction. Don’t leave home without Him!

Greetings to all in the MUMC family. On Monday evening, May 17th, MUMC's Church Council met and discussed new Covid protocols for the church. The following is a summary written by Council Chair Anne Crawford concerning that meeting. "At its May meeting, the Council spent a great deal of time talking about our response to new guidance from both the CDC and the State of Pennsylvania concerning the lifting of mask and social distancing restrictions for fully vaccinated individ...uals. After much discussion, the Council voted to allow fully vaccinated individuals to attend worship (and other church events) without masks, if they so choose. Also, as of the first Sunday in June (June 6), capacity restrictions for worship will be lifted and pew ropes will be removed. However, no passing of offering plates, no close contact during the passing of the peace, and use of the pre-packaged communion sets will continue for now. Masking is still required for those who are not fully vaccinated and we encourage all members to be respectful of individual choices regarding masking and the desire to maintain social distancing. To that end, please be courteous to your fellow worshippers and ask before sitting down if they are comfortable with you sitting close to them. Council also decided to allow group meetings and meals (of no more than 75 individuals) in the Fellowship Hall to resume following appropriate CDC and PA guidelines (e.g., requiring masking for un-vaccinated individuals)." Pastor Bob here again...Thank you Anne Crawford for this summary of the May 17th meeting. And thank you to the Council for their many months of wrestling with these circumstances and forming policy as we go. And, again, thanks so much to all of you who have, by faith, love and determination, contributed to the ongoing ministry and mission of Messiah Church. If you have any questions of clarification, please email or call the office. Go with God, Pastor Bob

Testimony from Chris Rockwell I grew up in an agnostic household. I didn’t believe in God or know much about Him other than what I got out of the Easter shows on TV. When I was 17 I met a group of kids at the park and was invited to join them in their picnic games. I didn’t know them. They didn’t know me. I was really impressed how they included me and were so very friendly outgoing and fun. They told me they were a youth group at a church in town and made a point of inviting... me to join them in all their activities from then on. After about a year of having fun and making connections and learning about God, I decided I wanted to be like them. I wanted to have the joy and the certainty that I could do anything that their God led them to do. Things like asking a perfect stranger to join them at their picnic and introducing him to God through love and example. That is how I was led to Jesus and I thank God for that group of kids to this day. See more
